features FIFA 23
Cross-platform play FIFA 23
FIFA 23 will feature a limited degree of cross-play. Co-play will be available in FUT Division Rivals, except for co-op, FUT Champions, FUT Ultimate Online Draft, FUT Online Friendly (excluding Co-Op), FUT Play With a friend, Online Friendlies, Online Seasons (excluding Co-op Seasons) and Virtual Bundesliga. However, cross-play will be
limited to consoles
of the same console generation. For example, those using a PlayStation 4 will be able to play with and against players on Xbox One, but not PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S and vice versa. Pro Clubs will not support cross-play.
The decision to remove Pro Clubs from joint play has received criticism from the FIFA player community.
Hypermotion 2 and technical dribbling FIFA 23
The game will feature what’s called HyperMotion2
, a match capture system with
machine learning from real-life football matches to create over 6,000 in-game animations. Technical dribbling uses the so-called Active Touch system to improve the footballer’s trajectory to the ball and improve the player’s turning and dribbling with more responsiveness. Both systems are exclusive to current generation versions (i.e. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Stadia and PC).
World cup match patterns
FIFA 23 will feature both men’s and women’s World Cup game modes, with the 2022 World Cup and 2023 Women’s World Cup.

FIFA 23 will include three new ICONs in the ICON collection with the addition of Gerd Müller, Xabi Alonso and Garzinho. removed from FIFA 23 ICONS. Jay-Jay Okocha and Hidetoshi
